With restrictions easing, and travel opening up again for both work & leisure, finding someone to look after your beloved furry friends as if they were their own isn’t easy. Being able to put your mind at ease so you can pack your bags with confidence is crucial. Enter Helen Lennie. Helen is one of our customers at our Potts Point Providore store and has launched her new boutique dog care service Lennie Dog Care.

Helen Lennie was the other half of dynamic duo at Signature Prints for over two decades, the renowned print & design studio now located in Sydney’s Inner West specialising in hand screen-printed wallpaper, fabric & art. The studio is now headed up by her husband David and his team, leaving Helen to run Lennie Dog Care. When Helen first made a departure from Signature Prints she was focussing on age-positive modelling & acting work, and was gaining good traction in the industry when Covid appeared and put that on hold.
With a strong list of trusted clients built over her career with Signature Prints & Matthew Ely Jewellery, Helen pivoted her career path to work with her passion for dogs. Lennie Dog Care is much more than just a dog walking service. Specialising in overnight & long-term stays, Helen’s approach is warm & fuzzy where your dogs are welcomed into her home and treated like they’re her own. Your furry friends will have a full, love-filled experience where they will move into Helen & Dave’s place and be part of the family for the duration of their stay.
You won’t just have your dog walked around the block or taken to the nearest park. Helen gives your pets an experience every time she takes them out. Think off-leash parks like Sydney Park, Centennial Park & Rose Bay where the dogs who love a swim get to have a dip in the bay. Specialising in the care of small dogs, Helen is sensitive to the fact that some dog owners prefer to have their pets in the care of like-sized furry friends, rather than be mixed in with medium and larger canines. You only need to follow Lennie Dog Care on Instagram to see first-hand how happy the little doggies are when they are in her company. She posts regularly, so if your puppy is in her care, you’ll have a pretty good picture of what kind of adventures they are having whilst you are away.

Helen recently modelled for our Neighbourhood Cellars photoshoot, and she brought a clothes brush, proof that she gives your pooches cuddles whilst looking after them. Evidence of the love she has for little hounds was on her clothing which we needed to brush off for the photos. Watching the two gorgeous pups she brought along for the shoot gazing up at her and seeing how well-behaved they were for her whilst having their photos taken clearly showed her special ability & connection to dogs.
Lennie Dog Care offers minimum 3-night stays to long-term (we’re talking months for those of you that find yourselves away from home for long stretches of time).
